Our Instructors

All of our instructors are fingerprinted and background checked with the Orange County Sherriff's Department (LIVESCAN). I have also studied and been certified with the my son's local Cub Scout Troop. We also make every effort to insure the safety of your child at the studio.

These are things that are important to me and to you as a parent should be as well. I consider children our most precious commodity and their safety should never be taken for granted. I always employ the open door policy and prefer parents to present if possible in the lobby of the lesson studio.

In my lessons I try to combine the best elements of my playing experience into a comprehensive quick start to effective guitar playing. I believe music to be an extremely positive creative outlet and I also believe it to have huge life changing benefits. All of our instructors are experienced, versatile and

Music stimulates the brain, the emotions, and the body simultaneously. Auditory impulses structure the way we learn to communicate, move and express ourselves and for that reason music is essential for the maturing mind of children. It is my effort and duty as a teacher to enlighten and inspire not only children but parents to keep music at the forefront. Music will not only enhance intellect but will instill self confidence, reduce stress and give the child a general sense of well being. This is especially noticeable in children that suffer with conditions such as dyslexia or ADHD where challenges are constantly in front of them.?

Greg Richardson the owner of Greg Richardson Studios and a supporter of all styles of music such as Rock, Country, R&B, Blues, Motown, Bluegrass and Metal, he is passionate about teaching children how creating music can be more than a pastime but an electrifying journey to being the very best they can be.  With a versatile menu and network of talented teachers Greg Richardson Studios offers everything from guitar lessons (acoustic, base and electric) in a variety of styles and techniques to music technology and production.

After briefly studying Classical Guitar at Jefferson Community College in Louisville Kentucky Greg moved to California to become a real musician. Well at least that's where the real working musicians were. In other words, the guys that actually made money playing their instruments and idid it in a never ending variety of situations. In Greg's words, "It was truly amazing for me how much the bar was raised professionally when I began to play music with guys that were, serious, sober, experienced, punctual, practiced and above all versatile". We have learned that these are traits that apply not only to the music world but also to the real world.

In the performance arena Greg has played everything from Classic Rock to Funk, and Country to Blues, Motown, Reggae, Bluegrass, Progressive, Punk, Metal, Pop, Power Pop, New Wave, Speed Metal, Hard Rock and everything else in between.  He has been a working member of many local church worship teams at several local orange county churches and has also taught after school classes at Top of The World, El Morro and Canyon Vista and Don Juan Avila Elementary Schools.
